Those look decent, interesting how they show them with tubeless tyres too.

Has anybody tried the Aliexpress Adamo's?
Tempted to get one to try out.

Not as good as the SMP copies - rails weren't straight (which isn't a problem on my TT bike due to the clamping mechanism) and the padding is a bit too soft for my liking, but as its a copy of the prologue which has softer padding iirc that could be "correct"
-

I can only find the prologue. I was thinking maybe the 'time trial' shape may be better for my use. What I'd really like is a Dash Tri.7. But I'm simply not going to use it enough yet to justify even a fraction of the cost.

Cheers.
Not sure I like the idea of soft padding. I dont get on With padding at all on my road bikes. Could be different lent forward on a noseless saddle. But it still doesnt appeal.

When I had an Adamo Prologue, the padding was pretty soft but only really noticeable if you sat bolt upright...lent forward and on the tip of the saddle I didn't notice any padding other than my shorts...

OK Cheers for the feedback.

I should probably add that the reason I no longer have one is because the width of it at the front got annoying if I ever got out of the saddle...I'd literally have to part my legs to sit back down. Bloody annoying on a fixed gear! In one position on the nose of the saddle it was very very comfy.

I'm sure its been covered but which option is best for ordering a set of wheels - one of the many on ebay or via another channel?
-
• #3662
Thanks for the info. I suppose what with it being more of a TT oriented saddle, ideally you shouldn't be out of the saddle too much.

Recently fitted someone with an Attack and following the ISM fitting guide, we got it spot-on first time. Adamo have more leeway than an SMP, when looking for the "sweet spot".
I honestly think you are pissing money away buying a fake: the quality is shit, they aren't that cheap and you won't get a realistic idea of whether or which Adamo is for you.
Far better paying for a demo and biding your time.
I can recommend Pedal Pedal for a demo (£10 for two weeks plus deposit): nice people to deal with and good prices too.

Picked up some 27mm (25mm at brake surface) 88mm tubulars for TT duties. Really impressed, perfectly true and pretty light with a good profile. Think they were £230 + £45 taxes
Came with 4 spare spokes, pads, valve extenders and skewers.

Anyone use a Novatec F372SB rear hub? If so, do you happen to know what bearings they take?
Cheers
-
• #3668
Quick delivery too - around 10 days from order to getting hold of them.
They were on sale (seems to happen quite often) so I paid $350 rather than $499
Will probably get a set of 55mm for CX if they crop up on offer again.

"(6001-2RS 1pcs rear axle), 6901-2RS (3pcs rear axle)"
-
• #3670
Thanks! Does that mean 4 sets of bearings then?
-
• #3671
Yes, 2 in the hub and 2 in the freehub.

Anyone else using the not-a-Canyon VCLS seatpost and finding issues with it making noises as you ride? I'm finding the thing won't shut up, i have a constant tapping type noise. This could be a frame/seatpost interface issue, but it is incredibly annoying
-
• #3674
Wait so at 0:25 you put the seatpost back in then set saddle angle then tighten the bolt on the inserted end of it without taking it back out...

I've now have these rimes built up: Light Bicycle - 700C carbon road clincher U-shaped 45mm.
They're noice. And they make gear changes sound awesome.
I reckon these have been tested pretty well now, and have stood up to some fairly hard breaking in on wet mountain hairpin descents.
The surface / pad combo (swissstop flash pro black) modulated well without locking up, evem with my fat ass, and for bonus points make a terrifying shriek.
I have ordered a pair of these in the C25 toroidal version http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2Pcs-New-700C-88mm-clincher-rim-Track-Fixed-Gear-Road-bicycle-matte-UD-full-carbon-bike/32347703241.html
