    Perhaps the rider prefers to be comfortable when riding on the drops, rather than pander to some arbitrary "rule".

    The levers could do with being moved up the bars, to make them easier to use when in the hooks though.

    It is nice, however, to see a bike with the brakes sensibly cabled; although I would have left the front brake outer a little longer (and taped the bars all the way to the shim), so that the cables cross in front of the headtube.

    But that's a cosmetic point, the important thing is that the rider will reap the functional benefits of the builder's choice.
