Yes I have. That's how I got to Italy. I rode the route I've planned. So geraardsbergen > Mt Ventoux > Sestriere (Col de assietta) > where my route goes in eastern italy. Don't see the need to check beyond there as there aren't many road options. Vukovar > Mont Lovcen > Istanbul.

They sell a short sleeve version. Sigma sport have it. Fiandre light no rain. Pretty good.
