Well...I just went out wearing a suit and didn't get knifed. But I did walk past a drug deal on 3 minute walk to the station, so swings and roundabouts.
It has an Antic pub and a hipster coffee shop, and a sourdough pizza place is imminent, so Claptonification is in full swing. To the extent that Clapton FC play here and are on their way to becoming the UK's St Pauli.
Also, in the coffee shop in half term you can't move for teachers catching up on their marking. That's a sign of something.

I spent a while working in Forest Gate and our dress code for walking too and from the station was hoodie.
One night I witnessed a mass brawl of about 40 people.
Drug users and prostitutes would regularly be doing their business in our carpark.
We never decorated over the bullet holes in the wall which were the result of a raid over the road.
This was all several years ago mind, has it improved?
