Thanks tester. I'd heard from Chris Juden that contrary to what most mechanics think, if you're doing half radial, the crossed side should be NDS.
But this blew my mind slightly :
the right way to solve the problem is to have more spokes on the NDS ...
I'm assuming that's a typo? Surely more spokes on the DS, less spokes on the NDS? Or again is the recieved wisdom actually cobblers?

You assume correctly. I was originally going for a more verbose construction and cocked up the edit in my head :-)
