I'm happy with how it runs (so far, upgrades to come) but the paintwork is far too dale endorsing for my liking. I can see this being a bike i keep for a while as i'm quite happy with it. So what are my options and how much will i be looking to spend? What i'm considering is either, repaint or getting it wrapped. The main parts i don't like are the rear triangle and the forks. I can live with everything else.

Modern dales can be a bit grim looking, paint-wise.

Strip and polish it? Lots of work, but maybe you could make it a Winter project?

The money you would spend on a pro-respray would be far better tucked away for a frame upgrade. Nothing wrong with a caad8, having ridden one for a few years myself, but it's not worth investing in. Thrash it and upgrade to a 10 down the line, and maybe strip and polish it over winter as suggested above if you can't live with the current paint

@BareNecessities and @mrJL i don't mind the idea of it being stripped. I finish come friday so it would be good to learn about road bikes more. I have been tempted to go for the 10 or possibly even a supersix? The more i think about it the more I'm liking the idea of it stripped down.

I'd rattle can it hulk-green or something. Stripping the fork is going to be a massive ball-ache anyway.

Bought this Caad 5 cheap last year and built it up for the girlfriend/general winter bike... I'd planned on painting it the darker red Saeco colourway but she doesn't want me to be too precious about her chaining it up around town... I'm going to swap out the 9speed tigra for 10speed sram then she is done!
