Am i right in thinking that these levers have two settings that means the lever itself can be made closer to the bar? Ben didnt you have one? @CoventryEagle

That's to adjust cable pull to match Vs or calipers or a bit of personal preference with how they feel.
-
• #933
The adjustment for high low is for pull I.e. Short for canti and road calipers and long for v brakes.

you can screw in the silver allen bolt to adjust lever reach.

best levers ever....

thanks guys, so i am getting the wrong part mixed up but it is possible to move lever closer to bars? Does the AVID speed dial do the same thing? Its for my girlfriends polo bike, she has really tiny hands and a normal lever is tiring to reach for her.

Most levers have reach adjust, look for a small Allen bolt or screw. The speed dial thing is cable pull adjust again, although more for different feel on Vs than to use them on short pull brakes I think.

B, you can try BMX levers like this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/seal-bmx-alloy-brake-levers/rp-prod129698 which has shorter reach. They are short pull so you'll need to pair it to mini-Vs or if she's runing disc the Avid BB7 road.

So what's the best bb7 pads? (Best as in best for stopping power)
-
• #941
Sintered pads are pretty good, Google Superstar components, theirs are quite popular.

I've always found organics better for polo use (not including current zee, but that's because the brakes themselves are amazing), sintered never got hot enough to grab as well and were noisy in the wet. Superstar are cheap and ok but seemed to wear very quickly, avids pads were the best I found with bb7s.

4 pot for polo? #bikepoloisseriousbiznez

avid pads for life, just changed to different ones: after wear in it feels SHIT

4 realz.

They are dangerous, a mate had the braking material sheer off the pad body, on both the front and back brake on a steep hill in Wales. Superstar were total dicks about it too, no replacements or money back.

Which site do you usually use to buy spokes? Rosebikes?
I'm using zee with a goldtech 1/8 chaining pretty bomb proof
