  • At least an eta movement is serviceable by most watchmakers - in-house movements and the price of servicing seems a bit of a crazy luxury to me, love jaeger-le-coutre but could;t stomach a £700 service and at the end of the day accuracy is the important part not how obscure a movement is? anyone have any ideas on how much a nomos service would cost?

  • Agreed, there are good reasons to have an ETA movement.

any ideas on how much a nomos service would cost?

You need to send it back to them, but the prices are very reasonable, compared to some. They charge £235 to service an automatic with date, down to £175 for hand-wound.

  • that sounds very reasonable, i'm still lusting after a nomos metro - maybe christmas pressies to myself if i can sell a bike or something
