  • At least an eta movement is serviceable by most watchmakers - in-house movements and the price of servicing seems a bit of a crazy luxury to me, love jaeger-le-coutre but could;t stomach a £700 service and at the end of the day accuracy is the important part not how obscure a movement is? anyone have any ideas on how much a nomos service would cost?

  • well it's a combination of lots of things of course, but an ETA 2824 has a brilliant balance of durability, accuracy and beauty of engineering imho, i have 8 watches all with 2824 based movements! (and the same amount of quartz watches which i treasure equally @DethBeard)
