At least an eta movement is serviceable by most watchmakers - in-house movements and the price of servicing seems a bit of a crazy luxury to me, love jaeger-le-coutre but could;t stomach a £700 service and at the end of the day accuracy is the important part not how obscure a movement is? anyone have any ideas on how much a nomos service would cost?
Agreed, there are good reasons to have an ETA movement.

You need to send it back to them, but the prices are very reasonable, compared to some. They charge £235 to service an automatic with date, down to £175 for hand-wound.
