Has anybody bought any disc braked road wheels recently?

I think that I have money burning a hole in my pocket. I feel that my bike is let down a bit by its wheels. It's a lynskey sportive and has Shimano RX31s on it, which are fine but perhaps a bit dull.

I'm wondering if spending maybe 800-1000 quid would make me into some sort of superhero basically, and if so what people recommend. Or is it just snake oil?

Changing to supple tyres and latex tube will make a difference and is ideal for summer; worth a try before dropping big cash. Back to Marathon Supreme for the winter.

hmm, I might already be doing that. I have Schwalbe Ones on at the moment and tend never to go super heavyweight (conti 4 seasons at most) and deal with punctures as they occur, they are good for the soul :-)

I do need new inner tubes though :-)
