  • Fixation just quoted me. IT WILL LIVE AGAIN!

@tina.kino ........................I ate pizza. I got too excited by said pizza. The anchovies were just melting everywhere. In my haste to to grab more pizza sauce to dip said glorious pizza, my uncontrollable arms flailed everywhere. Hitting my bag, which the camera was sitting on, which hit the ground with that sickening crunch.
That was the first time I considered actually using a strap tourist style!

Than I ate more pizza. All was right with the world.

On the other hand, new lens day was a good day.

  • Phew. What new lens? You still running around with a 35mm?

  • Great shots btw.

  • Oof @Chak, that lady in Burberry is sharp, in both senses of the word!

  • @chak, lovely portraits, interested to know your approach, do you stop and ask people or just fire first ask questions later?

  • ..ah, fuck. Good to hear it will live again though!

All three pictures are great, especially like the second and third.
Good expressions, nice frames, and nice settings / processing!

  • Great shots @Si88, I like the top one better as her bottom and legs are undisturbed in front of the bright sky, and grass on top and clouds on bottom make for neat image "borders"!

  • ^this,

Good example of how simply rotating the image changes it completely

  • Meanwhile in Australia...

  • I'm enjoying your 'van' phase Tina :) Keep up the good work!

Also I got a 10 stop ND filter, very fun and the camera still focuses well with it fitted!

  • cheers, got a bit of lip taking that. that's west Sacramento, it was pretty bleak

  • enjoying your 'van' phase

    Thanks, glad you like them!

Question for the native speakers while we're at it -
I was wondering what you call these vehicles in english - like the red / grey one up the page; this used to be a (fire) truck, the grey part being a "custom" modification.
There are a lot of these in certain parts of Berlin, not only in trailer parks (mobile home parks ?), but also just parking on the side of the street (people are living in them).
    They're like "DIY-camper-trucks".

  • "conversions"

    in my opinion

  • Thanks @tina.kino and @Vesalius!
I agree the top one is better. The whole thing was totally impromptu and unplanned so framing for the tree line against the bodies didn't even enter my mind.

  • Do any of you guys print your digi stuff? If so, what/who do you use? I'd like to have some physical copies of a few snaps.

  • Mid-range inkjets are actually quite good these days but paper is the real variable. If you're doing black and white then you might want a printer with matte black and grey cartridges as well as the usual CMYK.

I just get c-types from print space though.
