Presumably our resident expert on Italian cars will be through to tell us which one to buy...

All my adult life I have wanted to own a Fiat Coupe 20v
My mate had a blue turbo. It was nice, pretty reliable and he ploughed quite a lot of money into it, took it to 400+bhp which was torque steer central and very scary.

Have just seen it now, what a beauty.
Not really the aesthetic I'm going for though...

Good luck with the 190E tommmmmmm. They are great cruisy cars. Mate of mine in Sydney was given he's grandfathers 190E - it had been barely used for 10 years or so. Everything was perfect on the car but the lack of use did start to show when it started to be used every day. Alternator, some wiring looms had perished and as rive gauche mentioned lots of small rubber parts and pipes started failing. BUT, this is just cautionary - it may be OK. Keep an eye out though and do as much as you can yourself. replacing rubber pipe work is easy when you follow the existing bits as a template. You're lucky you are in the UK as a there's a ready supply of parts here for cheap. Post a pic when you get it.

My dad had a 190E, that I was in love with. He bought it 2 years old, and it went straight to Elite in Rainham to have a full Zender bodykit, AMG 5 spoke Penta wheels, and a hefty drop.
The electrics on it went crazy after a while, everything got fixed except for the interior dash lights, so driving in the dark was guesswork.
Here's me in CCF uniform next to it:

Stunnah. Is that just a standard 2.0 under all the kit?

Careful as there might be outstanding fines or something on it.
May cost to get a new v5 and then the owner might come out of the wood work. Do you trust the guy you are buying it from?

6 speed is the quickest ;)
While the 2l 4 pot engine is the same as the integrale. Wasn't the interior designed by pinifarina and the outside by someone german? Wrong Chris Bangle and he was famous from BMW and a usain.

Oh! That makes so much more sense now.

Anyone got a view on my sensor issue?
-
• #23398
I've done the HPI check and there are no fines or ownership issues and the owner has the original V5/2 or whatever for the change of owner details which means there's no charge to register it in my name now.
The guy seems legit, I know where he lives, works and what he drives and he is going to give me the name and address of the guy he bought it from as well just in case there is any trouble.
I've definitely talked myself into it by now. Already looked for lowering springs...

Ballache spanner in the works.
Footman James, who gave me the super low quote, won't insure my partner as she'll be on a provisional. One of the reasons for getting the car (I'm telling her) is so that I can teach her to drive. The next best quote is £400 more expensive.I'm awaiting a call back from Adrian Flux tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.

don't put her on then...
No, they are very nice cars. I think they might even be galvanised.
Italian electrics, on the other hand, can be 'interesting'.
