Just heading north on Southwark Bridge this morning there was a chap on a s/s bike, he was struggling a little bit up Col d'southwark and as I went past I said ........
"Excuse me mate, you've got a flat tyre" as his back tyre was almost completely flat...
His response once he had a quick look round as he was peddling...
"Nah mate, its always like that" -

Only flat at the bottom, see? Plenty of air in the rest of it.

Gave a driver a hard stare. He didn't notice. 3/10 would stare again.

Aha! I did that one. I managed to mis-read the brevet and thought the info control asked 'what is the number of telegraph poles at the junction?' - of which there was one! Doh.
Only did the 100. Walked up Holly Hill mind. Fixed and fat. Twatty drivers making it even harder. Rather enjoyed walking up, to be frank. /middleagedspread
9/10 would Hop Garden again.

Driver pulled out sharp in front of me from the side road by Recycled before E&C, only to get boxed in by a bus pulling out from the stop. Would laugh again 7/10

Holly Hill was an utter, utter bastard.
Sticking that at the end was an evil masterstroke.

Will never ceased to be amazing at some people.
That is certainly true of the Will I know. :)

Is that @WillMelling you are talking about?

You're not being awesome at him. You know that he doesn't like to be 'summoned'.

Last night coming home just off elephant and castle. Some massive pled in a taxi decided he was going to squash me in the bike lane.
Bars hit the side of his cab, I bashed on the side of his cab a lot. Crank hit the curb and threw me off into the road just behind the taxi.
A guy in a red car stopped but he didn't really see it... And the two roadie guys who where right behind me cycled straight off!!! Much to my surprise (if anyone knows these people please get them to contact me and I will forgive this douchiness)Picked myself up and as everyone had left thought there was no hope... Taxi driver fucked off straight away.
Started walking home as my front tyre had popped and the guy who was in the taxi came up to me, he'd had a go at the taxi driver, got out and managed to get the drivers identification number before he drove off. Then come found me, good guy! So phoned police, spent next hour sat by side of road giving statement and then the next 3 hours in a&e with a suspected fractured collar bone (was actually fine just bruised)
Always amazes that people drive off after these things, if anyone sees a black cab with 89467 on the back punch him in the face and get him to buy me an inner tube...

Glad you don't have any broken bones, timbre. Fantastic initiative by the cab passenger. Did the police say they were going to pursue it?

Ouch, what an utter twunt.
Heal up and hearing stuff like that I won't feel so guilty next time I get an Uber -

Semi-related: I love the daily dash up Col d'Southwark (good name) and over the bridge from the lights at the bottom. Massively immature, but I can't help racing every damn time.

Faith in humanity shattered, nope, shattered yet more, and then..... restored! Sort of.

Saw my first ever fellow 2015 Genesis Flyer rider on E&C today. I think he'd switched it to fixed too, but I didn't get a good enough look to be able to tell.
Apart from that, nothing out of the ordinary. 8/10.

Just roadsafed an HGV that barged me out of his way on the col de Southwark this morning - I kind of knew he'd do it, as I'd hearding him leaning on his hooter some way behind, presumably because the peloton was on HIS road, so I had time to look round and take evasive action.
Normally I might have shrugged this off, but then I noticed his reg plate was completely hidden by a yellow trailer thingy, so I went down the outside of the now stationary traffic on the bridge to get a look at his front plate. (PJ09 LCW in case you were wondering). Apologies to any riders who were then surprised by my reappearance in the blue channel.
Hope the reg plate issue might get the met's attention if the aggressive close pass doesn't interest them.

Nothing to report on this mornings ride apart from being bloody sore, due to being T-boned by a fellow cyclist as I turned left last night. I was in ASL box with a bus behind me also wanting to turn left, lights turn green and I start to make the turn out of nowhere lady just rides straight into, knocking me off. Bit of grazed arm and some bruising but nothing major. She did say sorry at least and admitted she was trying to get through before the bus turned. Not impressed.

@Oliver Schick yeah they are filing a report and it will take a few weeks. Gonna def follow it up as have been talking to the guy and he seems to think the driver did it intentionally (says he was driving aggressively and erratically up until the incident).
He made a statement on the phone to the police when he got home which is amazing too.@PQR twunt is the exact perfect word.
@BrickMan very much restored the guy is doing everything to be as helpfull as he can

• #6395
Ouch! Hope you're alright now and heal up quick. So nice of the guy to get out of the cab and find you.

• #6397
Fuck's sake. The plod better do something or I will.

Did my first skid today, unintentionally.
Was gunning it home from uni, don't really know what happened but I looked down and legs had stopped moving but I was still kinda "woooooooo" sliding along.
I felt at one with the bike for a few seconds, then reality reminded me of the bus about to smash into me from behind.
The chain had wrapped itself around my chainring, not really sure how it happened.
Also I got a call from the police today telling me my house had been burgled.
