But are the Greens an organised force in politics or just a bunch of nice people with a collection of nice ideas?
The Greens are a democratic party with policies proposed and voted upon by the membership and a leadership elected by the membership.
Hence a well-meaning nice-but-dim Aussie who can't keep up with her homework. Shame Caroline Lucas was too busy being an MP to continue as leader.
Someone tell me whether to vote Labour or Green.
Labour's failure to set an agenda and speak to voters like grown-ups disgusts me. They know austerity is bad economics but they're afraid to say it out loud (Why, I don't know. I think because they believe they'd be shouted down by the tory press. But I also worry they think the electorate's too dumb to get it.)
