because men and women don't get the same treatment in any arena involving publicity. pretty sure obama's hair or summer body has never been commented on (could be wrong). pretty sure they wouldn't comment on the victim's offspring or marital status if it was a corresponding situation involving a man.

Why do they need to point out that she's single with no children?!! What does that have to do with anything?

What are they trying to say? Is it "line up, line up!" or are they suggesting that she's a rabid feminist who can't get a man? I'd love to know their reasoning for the comment.
