  • Are you sure you got one with the same blade material? They do a "Carbone" and "Inox". Carbone ones take a much better edge but are more fragile.

  • I wouldn't know about beeing more fragile, but yes, the Carbone ones are easier to sharpen.
    Generally with cheap knives I'd prefer carbon steel to inox steel as the cheap carbon steel is way nicer to sharpen and cheap inox steel is just a pain in the ass.
    AUS6, 420HC, 440A etc can >>>>>>>>>
    (actually you can make nice knives from 420HC if you get the hardening process juuust right. Buck does that, nice knives. but other knives made out of that stuff are crap IMO)
