I had an opinel that I loved, super sharp and took the stone well to keep it keen. The blade snapped off when I stupidly used it as a ground tether for a balloon.
Replaced it like for like from a kitchen ware shop in Brixton Village and I can't get a decent edge on the new one for love nor money. I think my stone is too fine for it.
@cornelius_blackfoot maybe I can have a go with your new stone?
