Is there any North London frame builders / any one else capable of dimpling/widening my chainstays?

not sure if seat tube's been cut, got a rider name and letters on nds, campag bb,modus headset, not sure how green strip appeared in last pic (photo magnets?) , had battery fail so will take better pics soon, but dinae think i did 3 bad for just under 130 quid posted, will be hitting the Hill of much Herneness , as it happens, i grew up in the village near it, used to burn round the track on me bmx as a kid, so it will be good to go back -

thanks! was think deepish carbon rims, black spokes/hubs, black cockpit, got a flite with yellow stitching, would like an aero post, so will see what i can find, pretty pleased tbh as it seems to have a rather comtemporary design

that frame is begging for a disc...

New forks and a return to threaded headset for the 853 Kowal. Looks much better with these Kinesis Aero profile/blades on. Reduced the axle to crown and the trail a little over the daft carbon road forks it had on before, clearances look big as the tub's are ~20c. With 23c road wheels on they are filled up pretty nicely. Handling is sharper but still no toe overlap so all good. -

Seems like you've answered your own question there.

Wanting to join the 28c+ club. Anyone want to hazard a guess on the largest tires I can fit?
I think 28 might be the max.
For ref those are 23's in at the moment.

Completely guessing but looks to me like you might squeeze, 32s in there but it would be tight. 28 should fit fine. Depends on rim width as well. I guess you'd only know by trying. Know anyone with 32s on a wheel you could throw in to test?

That looks like a Giant SCR 1.0 with BR-R600 long drop callipers. 28c will fit absolutely fine.

New stem, bars, post and saddle. Finally happy with this, though might get some newbaums to wrap over the cork tape.

I know right?! Needs a simplex 6600rd for it to be 'just so' but that's a way off. Oddly, I'm completely sold on friction for fd shifting, particularly on this bike, I've never shifted so smoothly and the infinite trim is sweet.
@saarf @miro_o cheers, I've tinkered even more over the past few days, will post an update soon. I have a feeling though I'll be endlessly tinkering over the next few weeks until I'm properly happy. Money means I can't actually buy anything for it but tweaking is free right! Unless anyone wants to give me a rolls or turbo for free...
Anyway, enough rambling and more riding. I love this bike!

Whoaaaa, aweesumm frame, size? Would love to see a CP Thread on this ..
Doubt you'll be selling any time soon, so no point in me dibs'ing. :(

I am 100% certain 28mm tyres will fit.
32mm might be a bit of a squeeze as the seat stay for instance, is tall rather than wide.

Really nice! I like the small details like the heart with the columbus' dove, the stem cap and the pink brakes!
Can I ask you what kind of camera you are using? -
• #100972
Thanks! Got the heart with the Airplane sticker a guy from Columbus sent me, was a nice addition.
It's an E-PM1 mirrorless compact with an adapter and a Canon FD 50/1.4 SSC. A little unwieldy but I love the lens.

very nice..what frame?

• #100974
Lovely frame, lovely build :)
A bit too much wheel decal for me, but that's really "muggeziften" (assuming you're Dutch?)

Cheers :3
@mikdoublee Frame is an unknown, but seemingly custom built, possibly for an Italian shop team, maybe even by Columbus (aggressive fit and Italian BB, engraved dove logo above the monostay which I've picked out in black). Looked like this when I bought it off here from @dglshrn
@JWestland not Dutch but grandfather was. Legitimate "muggenziften" haha, but as there are few other logos I quite like the HEDswag
enjoy!
