  • What a day for it. Enjoy it kids.

  • Late. Always service your bike well in advance!

  • That was fun, if a little windy and only the one detour to the Olympic park..

  • Just back home as I had a half two deadline from the wife due to firebds coming for lunch. Gutted I had to miss the last 2 miles (and pint) but it was required in order to try and keep a harmonious home life.
Great to see so many forum folk too

  • So good.

Lovely to see some old friends too x

  • Great riding with you, thanks again for the pork pie.

    Andy

  • ^dat. And I never even rode!

  • good fun - I had to nip home halfway through, and then rejoin at the end, but there seemed to be plenty of people going throughout the morning and early afternoon. I noticed a good number of forumengers ( @hairnetnic among others - what a beard!) sporting their colours, but too shy to say hey, as I might be too much of a lurker! :) I hope to earn my stripes soon, at least before the summer's out!

  • I saw him too, beard looking good! Great ride, great weather, lots of forum jerseys on display. Was surprised how well my legs held out given my general lack of serious riding since Christmas.

And thanks again to the organisers.

  • Hard part: battling the wind on blackheath!

  • This was actually preemptive. I made it on time :p

  • Another lovely day for The London Classic.

Had to bail at Greenwich, since I was also moving house today, but had a great time nonetheless.

Thank you, again, to the organisers.

  • Thanks very much! Err who were you?

  • You just can't praise this event highly enough, and I'm not just saying that because the weather was good. I've felt the same in previous years. Fantastic work putting it on, Dave and co. It was simply awesome.

  • Err who were you?

Just another hairnetnic stalker. I hear there are quite a few of them. They meet in backrooms of pubs.

  • Absolutely amazing day out! Well earned break at the top of canobie

  • Awesome photo =) what a great day and great company!

  • I set off super early this fourth year and zoomed up to Shoreditch before bailing due to circumstances beyond my control (such as time travel). I spotted a few forumengers cruising to the start point and chatted with some civilians on the way. Always a great day even with a compromise.

  • Classic and excellent pic on top of Canonbie^^^
I hope you had a breathtaking day.
    :)

  • I was the bloke behind you in the queue to get a pint at the end (hence I saw your username on your jersey!)... blue and red Titus cap, trying to peek in on the end of the Paris Roubaix from the doorway for most of the time I was there, tbh...

  • Great ride company as always with Bernie, OLC, Brawen and Ralph. Sorry to bail out after Blackheath. Had promised to split my sunday with Lulu so that we had the afternoon together strolling around Covent Garden in glorius sunshine. Impressive turn out at the start from the Brixton posse, plus all the usual suspects on route. Well done David and co for another brilliantly organised TLC in Babylon-don.

Until next year, peace and love y'all

  • I got a chance to nip in on the LC for the new bike's inaugural outing for for about 45 mins. Picked up a fair chunk of the BC massif from Rotherhithe to Greenwich, and then I headed back home to baby etc. So much win for all of you out there all day for that. I did get beers in the sunshine and all of the Paris-Roubaix though so I'll take what I can get.

Oh and @almacenamiento68 (although I know this is a kind of sacrilege) I had a Guinness out of my Karmeliete Tripel glass I nicked in Belgium while watching the Roubaix for the Omega Farma Blotto crew, so thankful you and the rest sorted out the tour of the Velodrome and Roubaix history. Guinness plus bikes plus Belgium plus cobbles is the best.

  • Just started uploading my photos from the day here
Some of you were asking about the Bicycle Film Society we have a show tomorrow showing the Sherlock Holmes classic the Solitary Cyclist the show starts at 7:30 at the Calthorpe Arms 252 Grays Inn Road, London WC1x 8JR

  • @youramericanlover Sacrebleument!!! But only Guinness, please. My Westmalle glass is with daughter in Bournemouth, perfect for cocktails apparently :(

Being on London cobbles yesterday, then watching the lead in and lap(s) of the Velodrome via steephill.tv highlights made me smile and remenescement of our gig last spring, when we rode from the flamme rouge.

Looking forward to meeting junior. Perhaps bring him to Belgo Centraal for christening in Flemish traditions. We are checking diaries among OMG Farmer Blotto squad.
