The only roll we're on is downhill.

For heavens' sake. All I do it to try to provide a bit of un-plastic-scouse-like pessimism and I am slated. The league is not won until we take another 15 points (or if other teams drop points, fewer). Until we obtain the requite number of points I am not celebrating anything or counting any chickens.
I was also pointing out that the league has not been a walk over this year and even at this late stage there are seven teams still in play. There are more than seven still vying for relegation.

If we win our next three games, the position will look very positive, particularly as ManU still have to play City and Arsenal as well as us and City have United, Tottenham, Southampton and West Ham, any one of which could do a Palace on them and Arsenal have us and United.

You can't win Clive. It's the price you pay for success.

I think what you're trying to do is make it seem like it will be a huge achievement when Chelsea inevitably win - when in fact it will be a procession, mainly facilitated by the bedwetting if all your rivals.

At least I could hate in a more consistent manner. Thee days I'm all over the place

Spreading one's hate is a good thing IMHO... #hateeveryone #hatelibpoolmoretho

The fact is that more teams in the Premier League have hope of achieving something than in any of the other major European leagues. The standard has slipped in the past few years. The ManU team that won in SAF's last season was one of the worst in memory helped by the fact that TFSW was trying his best to destroy Chelsea. Since then, the foundation left by SAF has proved fragile. Man City have not been as strong as their spending should indicate largely due to poor managerial appointments. Arsenal are not what they were and Chelsea are still in transition. Tottenham and Liverpool are two clubs that have improved from mid table obscurity but not yet enough and clubs like Southampton, Stoke, West Ham and Palace are serious mid-table to Europa contenders rather than relegation fighters. In a few years the PL should once again dominate Europe but it will require Arsenal, Man U Citeh and Liverpool to sign up proper managers

Didn't stop them capitulating last season

^^ some well integrated trolling in there. Big thumbs up from me.

Is the fact more teams have a hope of achieving something part of the problem? Teams at the moment, bar City and Chelsea seem to be aiming for top-4 finishes and then becoming title contenders by accident. Maybe losing a CL place or two would improve competition a bit and stop teams being too comfortable.
The Championship is a better league, but I'd rather have at least got to Wembley before deciding we'd be better off there.

A better league with people aiming for the playoffs? With the standard of football patchy at best? With teams bobbling up and down or sinking like a stone? With stadiums half empty?

Imagine how much better the PL would be if the other 3 champions league spots were decided by playoffs..

If Arsenal win the title I will personally buy you a drink in Brisvegas to celebrate.

Cliveo has clearly benefited from a mid season break to Dubai. He's playing angles others can't even see. Like a ZolaColossus bestriding the fixie forum.
Can someone get to that in MS Paint?

Talking of Brisvegas, I am currently reading a history of the First Fleet and the penal settlemeent that is Australia.
Doesn't sound very nice.

Interestingly enough I'll be moving to the place where the first British settlement was founded, Redcliffe... Named by Captain Cook because of its, wait for it, red cliffs...
It's pretty much a retirement community these days so absolutely perfect...

I read The Fatal Shore.
I do hope Joe will be ok.
Hold on, I think Cliveo is right, Chelsea are a bunch of overpaid bottlers who play shit and dull football. They'll probably still win the league tho.
