Spinning 48/19 at just shy of 40mph was exciting enough. Add in the extra weight and resulting speed from packed bags and I think my knees and hips would have been torn apart.

Yes. too steep bit would mean a 1+ mile alpine mountain. for normal shorter hills its a nice case of htfu/walking
