  • Shit dude, you OK?
You're my favourite forumer and I'd hate for anything bad to happen to you.

  • If that was the case why does the traffic everywhere seem to decrease? The parents who would've dropped kids off in the car start using Tube? Unlikely..

That's the point; when Tilly and Tarquin are on their holidays the entire family goes away.

Around me in SW15 it's eerily empty. All of the residential streets nearby suddenly have loads of empty parking spaces. It's as if 3/4 of the cars have gone.

  • They all leave London, really?

  • I wonder about that, because where I used to live in SW12 it was all Tillies and Tarquins, but now I'm in SW16/SE24 border (so fewer Tillies and Tarquins) and I still see a corresponding drop in traffic.

  • They all leave London, really?

Lots do, yes. Talking to the other parents in my daughter's class I'd say at least 3/4 of them are going away somewhere for the Easter holidays.

If they don't go away now then they're next chance of a family holiday is the last week of May (Summer half term) and then late July.

  • I just got a letter from Transport for London detailing their 2015 plans for the northern roundabout at Elephant and Castle (no left turn from Newington into New Kent road?) , it's illustrated with the usual artist's impression of Shangri la... They are also 'improving' St George's circus just down the road, supposedly for the safety of cyclists as well. Much SE1 roadworks this year it seems, going to be a lot of stressed out motorists out there.

  • St george's circus is the soutern terminus of the N-S super-highway.

  • Starts next Thursday does it not?

  • Which is next Thursday, know?

  • Over and over an.....

  • I just realised I had to punch the front doors of a bus that started indicating and drifting towards me in brixton and when I got to East drinks to collect my forum jersey less than an hour later it had passed out of my mind as just an everyday thing that I'm endangered by buses. The more I think about it the worse it seems.

Strava says 20mph as I passed under the bridge.

I'm thinking another 2 cameras in the near future are a must, rear view and one that sees what I see but being a whole host of mobile cctv for my own death as it could be is morbid as fuck.

  • Cyclist down last night on East India dock road heading east, wasn't moving and had been covered with a blanket. Lorry stopped up ahead along with a couple of cars. Hope it wasn't serious and the cyclist pulls through.

  • I like how the buses have 8-bit lights.

  • Last Friday I was riding up behind someone heading West up Clerkenwell Rd. when bam! the dude just laid it down. Long, curly haired guy, with mobile+headphones, maybe riding ss or fixed old road bike. I asked if he was ok and he said yeah and a ped was helping him so I carried on. What happened?

  • @hippy laid the bike down on the floor? cramp?

  • wet roads? diesel/tar-strip/white-line/manhole-cover?

  • crashed, stacked it, binned it, fell over, bit the dust, bought the farm, etc

  • No, I don't know what happened. Took himself out. Maybe foot jammed into the front wheel or pulled a foot or pulled the rear wheel into a stay. He was pedaling enthusiastically and just sorted of folded up and collapsed into the ground.

  • Streatham highroad closed between st leonards and morrisons southbound, lovely clear roads towards brixton on the other side as the cars fight for spaces to get past and U turn at st leonards and traffic atleast as far as mc ds streatham hill.

10/10 would laugh at cars becoming metal cages again

  • I got told off for using zebra crossing with kids the other night, I think he was talking out of his arse.

  • Unbelievable. Glad to see the boys in blue doing the hard yards in fighting crime.

  • Enter your text here...rain still falls from above though. Mud guards just guard mud. ;)
