Expecting to get half your money back on a significantly damaged (even if only cosmetic) second hand wheel seems like a lot.

Keep shopping. I got an unmarked Zipp 900 for £500.

Yeah I'm sure I see loads of decent discs without damage for around £500 on TT forum

On the subject of discs are old, flat carbon Mavic Cometes faster than spokey wheels?
Any reason not to ride a track one on the road?

Yes, unless the spokey wheel is an 808 Firecrest and your frame happens to work better with a wide 80mm+ rim than a skinny flat disc.

Can't think of one

Great ride by Hippy, and nice to finally meet. Would have been very pleased with my ride last year, this year not so much. Need to look at the data.

Not really, in comparison to @hippy and @umop3pisdn , but I was hoping to go sub 27 and went 25:25 (according to gps). Awaiting official results.

I'm hooked now though. Surprised myself by actually catching someone and gave myself some extra kudos for being the only one fixed.

...being the only one fixed.
So you won your class then. :)

U R fast. Fixed?
-
• #8845
53x13. Not fast enough.

Cheers. It was a better paced but down on power ride. Basically the course and lack of wind made up for my lack of power. Not burning all my matches in the first 2mi like I did on the thicket course helped. PB by 23s.

You too man. There's plenty of racing left in 2015. Don't get too hooked up on it. Maybe try some gears? :P

• #8848
I already have aero shoulders. No potholes on this course so no arm pain. Couldn't see through visor though. Should've ditched it before start.
-
• #8849
Not too upset, just some stuff that needs to come together. Aero is very good, bring the power up and I'm sorted.

Never fast enough. I might get that put on my gravestone. #heftysthompson
Oh, and I know it's been discussed before, but I can't remember what the consensus is on tub recommendations for a HED3 front?
