Ta :) it's a flip-lock with the Oyster link pattern continuing over the clasp and the crown embossed in the centre. It would be practically impossible to accidentally open it, unlike the older Oysters on the 14270. It could potentially be a bit flimsy if you beat it repeatedly with a big hammer. Apart from that all good ;)
YKIMS - honestly these will be worth more as an investment in years to come than the new model because they're the last run of the 36mm case, which was fundamental to the original 1953 Explorer design.
What sort of dollar are you looking at, new or second-hand (if you don't mind me asking, natch)?
