• Nah, the case of that GS is all about heritage, it references the first GS 6145 8000 autos dating back from the 1960s. The same ones that took the Swiss on and beat them at their own game.

    In 1968, 1969 and 1970 Seiko had 226 wristwatches with its 4520 and 4580 calibers certified as observatory chronometers. In both cases these observatory chronometers were then sold to the public for normal use, some examples are still floating around but very rare.

    My 6145, 4520 and 4522 are ridiculously accurate for watches over 40 years old. Actually scratch that - they're ridiculously accurate in comparison to watches sold today.
