Went into Bespoke in Farringdon yesterday and they had one of the new CAAD10 Track completes on the stairs.
Very light, and some nice detailing on the TT and dropouts, the forks are drilled for a front break too. A quick google shows they are just over £1k from Bike24 now thanks to the stong pound, uber tempting for a summer commuter:
Only thing that is putting me off is that Greyhound shit style DT and clearence...

Got a technical question:
I've picked up a full carbon Si fork (originally from a Six13 I think) for my CAAD5. It's one of the ones fitted with a star nut and uses Cannondale's own sleeve/top cap assembly. Cannondale's tech document says that the fork can only have a max stack height of 40mm and you shouldn't have any spacers above the stem (Which seems odd because most other manufacturers say you need at least 5mm of spacers between the stem and top cap??), however the steerer is a bit too long to meet both these requirements.
How do I go about driving the star nut to the appropriate depth once I've cut the steerer down? The Parktools TNS-1 tool only drives the star nut to 15mm, and I doubt any bike shops have Cannondale's own star nut tool to get it to 40mm down the steerer as required.
Alternatively, can I just use the screwdriver/hammer method to drive the star nut further down the steerer and use a normal expander plug instead?
Thanks!

if you tap it down make sure it is with something that fits flush in the steerer. going to do the same on mine, although would not recommend.

Very nice! What tyres are they?
Mine, removing the pie plate when i return home, also going to get the steerer chopped at some point. Ignore the gearing selection, i was riding alongside friends who were walking (bad friend i know) -

Yeah I guess so. Not sure I like it or not. It's very odd.

A black Contro eh....

300 made apprently.
The most interesting bit is the original Si crank...in black.
Otherwise is its a team rep. Caad7 Optimo bb30 with the time si fork in a snazzy paint scheme.
Caad10 owners: visually, 6 or 17 degree stems?
-
• #1623
Slightly sloping top tube= 6 degree, horizontal top tube= 17 degree.
Looks terrible if your stem and TT slope in opposite directions.
-
• #1624
Caad10 sits somewhere betwixt the two...depending on sizing :/
-
• #1625
-6 looks better, but -17 doesn't look too bad, gives quite an aggressive look
finally some pics of my finished road bike, upgraded the groupset from shimano 600 tricolour to da 7800
spit and polish and ready for some summer miles
