Hydration, I'd imagine, given the lack of bottles on the frame. I use a Camelbak for 2 and 4 hour MTB races, as I've never really liked the combination of frame-mounted water bottles and shit-filled mud.

Water you big goon. It was frickin boiling.
Also as above without it it would have been a long walk back from the fire road of razor sharp gravel without the tools in it.
