I like Degs, so I'm happy with that result.

That 'tache has got to go though.

Chainring would have to move so much if FD set up correctly it would almost have to be a BB problem with the axle getting mobile.

Isn't their drive chain a mix of different manufacturers, Shimano chains, FSA shifters, SRAM cranks? I know they may be compatible but surely not as good as all the same. Daft for a pro-team and it's costing them

Watching it again, I can't get over how strong Thomas was. He was on the front for so long. Bodes well for the Ronde where hopefully he'll be allowed to have a go.

Strange that Cancellara didn't get to the front at any point. Surely he wasn't expecting to win against the sprinters? Arredondo was much more visible.

it's all about not being at the front at any time until the right time (Via Roma)

But Cancellara has no chance in a flat sprint against the likes of Degenkolb and Kristoff. He needed to be clear of them by at least 10 seconds at the top of the Poggio.

Dunno, the seated sprinter himself thinks he was in a good position halfway the last km. Maybe he should have done it like you say.

Has he ever won a sprint in a group of more than 5 riders? Off the top of my head, I can't think of an example.

He's got a decent finish, but he isn't explosive in the way Degenkolb, Kristoff and Sagan are.

I know, now he needs to find it out himself ;)
