  • It's set after Avengers so that's the best single one to watch. Saying that all the recent Marvel films are interlinked so a marathon Marvel streaming session is really in order here.

  • Great advice... On the case
(I may be gone for a while:)

  • The bothersome man. (2006)

Norwegian magic realism (I think...) movie about a man that gets dropped by bus in a city, gets a job, but it all doesn't feel...right. My shitty summary does it no justice well worth a watch.

  • I didn't watch any of the Hobbit trilogy until they were all out, and I could watch them in order, without having to wait on any cliffhangers.

    Saw Unexpected Journey today.

Don't think I'll bother with the rest.

  • Yeah, probably only really need Avengers, Captain America 2 and Thor 1. All great.

  • some new version of an old film directed by Ridley Scott coming out,
    cant remember the name

  • empty

  • Tine Jogger?

  • The Lost Boys? Is that ^ Sean Penn?

  • Gladiator II: The Emperor Strikes Back

  • Is that ^ Sean Penn?

Didn't he die a few year ago?

  • Frank was really fun. I loved the music, whoever wrote it for the film needs to make an album, and it was funny.

You can totally see what's going to happen in the entire film, but despite that I enjoyed it throughout.

  • had a werner herzog week

started with aguirre : wrath of god
followed by nosferatu and then fitzcarraldo

interesting, lingering, long durations shots of nature, slow pans and the unnatural stances / walks and odd positions of klaus kinsky make the films a little bit different to the norm

  • ^ I've been wanting to watch My Best Friend for ages... I'll have to remember to purchase it tonight.

  • Also, I stand by my assessment that Cave of Forgotten Dreams is really just superb trolling. A 3D film about (2D) drawings.

  • Great film tho'... I could listen to Werner Herzog recite the telephone directory and still find it captivating...

  • he'd film it with a sweeping amazonian backdrop

  • and those strange jungle noises

  • I did a Herzog recently in the form of Rescue Dawn. It was a 2006 release but somehow manages to feel more like a 70s or 80s 'nam film, which is just fine.

Anyone knows the story behind the opening sequence (is it archive footage?).

  • You should watch: Little dieter needs to fly http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0145046/?ref_=nm_flmg_dr_27

It is a a documentary by herzog with/about the real man from rescue dawn. Made in 1997
    Amazing film.

The bombing is 16mm archive footage from vietnam. some of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbEhsqStPTM

  • Heart of glass is well strange, but fascinating.

Herzog assisted with "the act of killing" a doc about Indonesia killings of "communists" (ethnic cleansing really) after the Dutch left and Indonesia became self governing again. You see his influence in some scenes.
