    Gearing choice is personal, but it's generally a good idea to keep it lower for training as you can develop some leg speed - which is what you actually need in race. It's training after all.

  • I wish I could offer advice, I pretty much rode a 48x14 for every training session and race last year.

  • Got my training accreditation session on Saturday. Hoping it all goes smoothly then I'll be there on Monday if the weather is good! Looking forward to getting back into racing this season :+)

  • Got my accreditation yesterday by accident. They were running the session immediately after the students sesh, so I stayed on. Sorted. Hope to see you guys on some mondays.

  • Great first session for me. Really enjoyed the sprint drills as that's what I'm most into. Paceline was horrific after the sprint efforts though.

  • Never go balls out for them - otherwise the rest of the session is horrendous. It's bad enough doing 5-6 sprint efforts without a proper rest between them in the first place.

  • What doesn't kill ya only makes you stronger ;)

    I've been sick as a small hospital the night after sprint drills before.

  • Also enjoyed my first Monday night at Herne Hill. Legs feeling it a bit now though!
