70 hours is impressive too.

£1850 for what is, on paper, a better movement than the Rolex 3135, even with it's advancements on the latest models sporting the parachrom hairspring and new shock settings.
Might not be able to absorb a whack like a 31 can but for under 2 grand I wont argue with the value. -

The reports are saying €3500, so sub £2k might be pushing it a bit.
I like it more the more I look at it. This (like the Pelagos) is exactly where Tudor should be going imo, innovating where Rolex won't.

Tbh it doesn't look a whole lot different to the ETA2824 it's replacing, auto mech is set mid movement, the weight runs on a bearing system like the ETA rather than the axle system on a Rolex 31.
26 jewels on the 6512 compared to 31 on the 3135, the extra 5 the 31 has are all on the date disk mechanism but I'm sure the date will still click over just as nicely on the Tudors.

So... any update on your discounts? ;)

I ended up taking the Swatch to a local dealer, but apparently Swatch only guarantees their bracelets for six months, even on an unworn NIB watch, so I had to cough up £30 for a new bracelet... And four weeks turnaround...

Pfft, Swiss efficiency m'yarse

Fair enough. I reckon it was a standard interference fit as already suggested. You'd have had to try to narrow the hole by punching it, which is not trivial.

I thought about expanding the head of the pin by exaggerating the starlike pattern with some wirecutters, but in the end it seemed like too much of a hassle

I reckon you've probably done the right thing. If you have the old strap, then you now have spare links too.

I want this.

Sooooon.... ;)

Rolex have launched.
New movement released - 3255 for the new Day-Date. New escapement, train, barrel and auto, looks good.
New Yachtmaster, such rubber, many Everose.

Cute... Nice branding for a change...

Yeah, its pretty classic looking with those hands. I like the round date window too.

Massive fail from Omega at Basel IMO. White Side Speedy is hideous. Snoopy could have been cool if not for the awful text on the dial and Omega's new found need to lume all the things.
The rose gold Yachtmaster though...blingy but I'd do bad, bad things for one.

That White Side Speedmaster looks nice an Ice Watch. Tacky.

• #15571
sell out

Im no Omega fan really.
Id rock a Moon watch if it fell from Space.
-
• #15573
This thing is insane. Mechanical everything, even depth gauge and max depth memory.

• #15574
That may well be the first diver's watch I've seen that I actually like the look of. Wouldn't wear it personally but it does certainly look the part!

It's $38k so liking it or not is a pointless exercise anyway ;)
I like that North Flag a lot. You could probably get one for around £1850 outside the UK.
