Caught out by the temps - long sleeve base, pro team jacket and castelli wind stopper over the top was just about enough to keep me from jacking it in. Lack of deep winter gloves and overshoes was a tactical error that, had it really rained like they said it was going to, could have ended the ride. Mercifully it held off and we finished things up.
