  • Looking for some decent breakfast/brunch recipe books. Trying to add in some sort of healthy ish take on the big breakfast, rather than just frying bacon and sausages. We are talking cooked breakfasts and not cereal/muesli/granola and yoghurt.

    Any suggestions gratefully received..

  • Couscous. Add a shit load of chilli and ginger, some spinach, carrots (or summat), and cook in a rich chicken stock. Even better if you can get Israeli couscous.
    Or, hash. Bring some potatoes to the boil unpeeled, and half cook. Peel them, grate them, and mix with sautéed red onion, paprika, and cooked meat of your choice.
    Stuffed peppers.
    Baked, roasted or confit root veg. Ever tried roasting carrots half way, then finishing in confit mix; it's really good.
    Stir fry.
    Tamales, crepes, samosa.

    Edit: Oh, wait, books. No idea.
