I think like Dubtap suggests they probably have been pushing the legal limits to the max so while some of it might stick in the craw I bet it is all on the level, silly little twats like JTL aside. Probably sketchy stuff like cortisone use out of competition to strip out weight and retain power, but legal.

cortisone
I thought this was only legit if applied topically. Injections of it are banned.
Which makes me wonder how they are using cortisone for weight loss if they can't inject it?orders 128 tubs of cortisone

Cortisone tablets exist.
AICAR is the thing for slow-twitch-growth-whilst-losing-weight anyway isn't it? or have they found something else? Kids these days.
EPO's becoming the '88 Smiley of PEDs?

"As long as it is not injected you can use Cortisone OOC without a TUE"

I like this, riders coming out and condemning the stupidity of other riders, and I like to take it at face value. The CIRC did talk about a change in attitude in the peloton, even if it is a hard-nosed commercial one rather than a moral one in some cases.

You don't eat it!

Out.

Cortisone definitely increases performance. I'm amazed it's not prohibited, it was one of the headline drugs LA used (injected).
There is no mention of it on WADA's lists :-/

S9. GLUCOCORTICOIDS
All glucocorticoids are prohibited when administered by oral, intravenous,
intramuscular or rectal routes. -
• #3762
So, I think my first post was correct, only topical use is legal. And maybe inhalation? That doesn't count as oral does it?

Good lolling.

But makes you a sick man that would not have won without medication. Is that what Nicole Cooke says?
-
• #3765
Not sure what she says. The wiki list of side effects sound great... not.

S9. GLUCOCORTICOIDS
Ah ok. That makes sense.
Anal inhalation FTW.

Just pretend you have to manage your asthma.

I hate to think what you've been ingesting given your WADA list fail :P

I have a runny nose. That's the same as asthma, right? fake cough
-
• #3770
No easy sneeze. You want to WIN as much as the asthma sufferer does not want to DIE.

• #3771
That's enough for a course of corts in the pro-peloton

6 more riders banned today by UCI for dark stuff like the GW50156 experimental "actually gives you cancer" compound and Sibutramine which was withdrawn from the market by it's maker.

There's a tonne of races in that list I've never even heard of. May as well be sportives, fucking douchebags.
-
• #3774
And maybe inhalation?
One specific glucocorticoid (beclomethasone dipropionate) is approved for inhalation without a TUE. Unfortunately for asthmatic athletes, it has no detectable systemic performance enhancing effect when taken in therapeutic doses.
I only take 100 micrograms a day, I think the most anybody is prescribed for asthma is 1600.

No, but you can get beclomethasone for rhinitis. Same compound as Becotide asthma inhaler, but for your nose it's called Beconase.
Guess we'll see if they all get popped in a couple of years.
