This looks great for €1000 -

Shame it has an alloy fork...

The new Trek looks kinda cool in a Prolly-like way for a off the peg bike.

I don't get why manufacturers shoot bikes with such shitty saddle and bar setups (drop specifically). It makes it look cheap.
Am I just missing something? -

Ah didn't notice about the fork :/

how do you link pictures from instagram?
-
• #9009
Find the same pic on webstagram/similar website and get the image URL from there. Or you can go into Instagram.com find the picture, hit f12, look through the sources and find the image URL. The former is much easier.

because it look comfortable for those who's afraid of having the bar "too low".

Is the market for this nodders then? I just think if they're marketing it to the 'gravel racer'/'adventure' touring types, then they would want to make it look at least a bit sexy.

It's for touring off road. Off road = a high front end. See MonsterCross for details.
I'd love to do a roughstuff tour through Wales on something like that. It'd be perfect. Also... the perfect New Zealand bike?

That new trek looks great - pretty thought out set up.

Not normally taken by IF bikes but that green is muy pretty...

I don't understand why Trek are marketing those bikes as being new. The 720 and 520 have been available for a good 6 months and the 920 has admittedly not been available, but was announced aaaaaaaaages ago.

Don't get me wrong, I've got just as much of a hard on for monster cross as the next guy or gal, but that Trek looks cheap to me. I can't help but thinking raising the saddle by an inch or so would make the world of difference. It's not like those are flayed bars, they just look uncomfortable to be in that position.

Ha ha. The long stem is to get the saddle-bar drop on my Raleigh to <10cm, which even I can see is too much.
Currently:
They only made these in 53, 58 and some 60+ model. No idea why, but 58 would be too big for a tourer.
And yes, I see what you're all saying. I'm an idiot. Too many reddit bikes with negative saddle-bar drop has obviously affected my mind so significantly that I have a terrible reaction to it as soon as I see it, regardless of the intended use/practicality.

When the hell is it supposed to be released?
-
• #9023
God knows. Can check distro at work though tomorrow.
-
• #9024
Because you can't se it for all the bags.

It's already available to order last I checked.
IMHO, the Pinnacle Arkose Four is a better buy, with the best shifter ever, especially at £1250.
Then go bikepacking, fuck rack and panniers.
That's neat.
[paint and pedals are rubbish and I'd get thirsty – otherwise neat]
