  • Picking up the Vespa on Friday. It'll be the first time I've had a vehicle on the road in ~14 years. How do I get taxed and insured? The garage is MOTing it tomorrow, which I believe is a prerequisite for taxing? I presume it's no longer a Post Office job? Then once I'm taxed I can insure it, right? I've got a quote saved for that from Carole Nash, TPFT.

Bit nervous about riding it away from shop!

  • To tax it needs Mot and valid insurance. These are all checked online but I think the PO can still do it too. You don't need anything to insure it but for the policy to be valid you need the Mot.

Just take it easy driving off the forecourt, save the wheelies for next week.

  • INSURE IT FIRST!!!

You cannot legally ride it to/from the MoT (or anywhere else) without insurance.
Tax online once the MoT is done.
