Make sure you double check the filters. ND filters are intended for the visible spectrum, but sunlight contains lots of UV/IR that the filters might not reduce.

i know an observatory that will probably be doing a few things, i.m planning to pop up tomorrow night, weather permitting, so can ask if they have plans to track via telescopes which i imagine they will be. not sure if its the sort of shot you're after but could be interesting..
