Nice work!
I like it for its "function not form" aesthetic, if that makes sense.
Those brake levers don't look very easy to use: you can get proper bar-ends for £15-odd.
Ditch the inner ring?

Cheers. I have some tt specific levers, i think theyre cane creek ones but they wont fit in the curved bar ends and i dont really want to saw them further back to the straight part.
Im considering a compromise between the front chainrings for a single where i can keep a good cadence in a gear that doesnt kill me from the start. My current route is very gradual climb for first 5 miles then a descent overall on the way back so i find i use the small out 22-23mph and big back 26-27mph.

First outing on Sunday?
-
• #11
yup, im ready to get laughed at ;) I start 24th of 65 I think, went for a training 20 miler tonight on it/her and did 20.6 avg including stop start for traffic and some hills so hoping to get near the hour for 22 miles on sunday although boxford hill on the bypass will be tough. Forecast doesn't look great though. Bought an axle to try convert my disc wheel to 130mm from 126, didn't really fancy squeezing dropouts on this frame.

More pink would make this the first entry in HHSTTB, new thread incoming.....

24mph crosswind predicted, what could possibly go wrong? Have a great ride, what does not kill you makes you stronger....

Get that thread started. I have been fiddling with the Burls over the winter and I think it would qualify.

I have enlarged my axle..and fitted crabon disc and one of those plastic trispokes at the front. I will stop said crosswind passing and earn mtfu points to offset the oestrogen.

Boats and bicycles and that should always be named after ladies, it's tradition.
This should look great with a disc and trispoke, find a real camera and take some proper pictures

Im still riding the above bike in various guises, current project is this..
i cannot afford a tririg stem so my next though was to modify this, behind the two allen bolts theres an internal cavity, the top isnt structural for the most part..anyhow, the cable from my front brake lever exits the base bar pretty level with the division between the black and silver parts of the stem..i'm tempted to create a route through the stem for the cable and drilling a brake cable stop and a smaller exit hole on the base for the cable to pass out for a center pull front caliper.might be clearer/might not
