Having seen him race on Saturday, I wondered why he even bothered turning up. He gave every impression of not wanting to be there, and seemed to have given up on the Team Elimination long before the first deciding lap. Great racing from Bobridge and Clancy at the end of the Team Elimination though.

I was there on Saturday too and was a bit surprised to see him riding so poorly. Clancy was brilliant though, as was Trott. My 11 year old daughter was inspired and is demanding to ride track this year.

You'll just have to imagine it.

You could always email and ask them. I guess they don't think their customers are buying stuff based on the stats... and they would be right.
-
• #19790
Yeah they aren't.
I'd just like to know how it compares.
But that article above is interest and seems to say it's pointless knowing anyway. -

You after Gore? Coz I am selling ..
-
• #19792
Got gore.
Might get the castelli muur as its event and racy fit. -
• #19793
What size are you in this? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/gore-bike-wear-oxygen-20-gore-tex-active-shell-jacket-exclusive/
The overshoe sizing down principle might work .. castelli isnt that cheap compared to the race cape (?)

Anyone has tried the lightweight bibs and superlightweight jersey? What's the minimum temperature you could say these are made for? And are they made to last? or are they more sensitive.
-
• #19798
From my exclusive personal experience on the internet I'd say 47 degrees

I got the lightweight jersey a while back and was not a fan tbh. Would much prefer pro team in the heat. Material may have changed since then mind.
Love how i will procrastinate for ages about any other clothing, but the though that a descent may be a bit chilly, but my softsheell gilet a bit too warm, instantly requires the ordering of a windproof gilet.

I have the lightweight bibs, and lightweight jersey.
I really rate the way the jersey holds it shape and fit, while being stretched over a lump like me, and being forced to carry ALL THE FLAPJACKS. The bibs feel equally solid considering their weight.
I wear both Down to 10C.
Once you've fecked up you kit for a 1000m+ descent or two. The purse strings tend to loosen somewhat. Personally the classic Wind jacket has worked perfectly . With merino arm warmers and buff if its proper Cold. Racecape if its going to be properly wet.
This is pretty interesting reading around the issues of stats;
