LFGSS Ladies Drinks - 1st Thursday of the Month

yeah, I realised this after I'd posted about 3 different posts on here to do with drinks. I quite obviously need a drink!

crap, I can't make it - I'm going to nose around the Hoover Building which isn't usually open to the public.

Not sure @Ethel, but I'm gonna take my camera anyway. A property company have put in a planning permission request to turn the unused office space in the middle of the building into flats - so they are having an open day in the building.
The place has been empty (apart from Tesco who have the back of the building) since the 90's so I'm all for it, because its grade 2 listed, they are keeping all the awesome features and sorting out the concrete cancer it has in places. I'm really interested in seeing what they are going to do with it, especially as I live pretty much behind it.

I'm out too. Injection day for me, and whilst there are minimal after effects, always best to have a quiet night in.

I really think they should have kept the old style tesco sign on there

@Shoosh have a nice cup of tea. I was going to suggest you chomp down a packet of chocolate hobnobs because they are great with tea and a night in, but i remember how good you were at sticking to good eating last time, so maybe... just.one.hobnob? ;)

@Ethel thank you sweetie. Sadly the good eating willpower has disappeared entirely, so I will take the hobnobs, the chocolate digestives, the mince pies and ALL the cake too.

@Shoosh - I think you'll find the chocolate digestives already have my name on them :-).

I have a seriously hot date with a washing machine, personal budget spreadsheets and household chores. I really had to think about all this.

Am definitely out. Taking the advice of @Ethel I have walnut cake and chocolate eclairs plus a huge pot of tea.
