  • Funny how common biases can cause problems when ignored.

  • No way.... 70 seconds.

  • Put in an order for a custom wildcat bag! Should be sweet!!

    http://www.wildcatgear.co.uk/

  • So my bag turned up today. Seriously well made. Beth at wildcat did exactly what I asked, with some coaching on how to make it work best. Very good service.

The space might not work how I saw it in my head, as often happens. So I'm sure I'll get it adjusted or a V2 made.

Also placed some orders for lighting and power stuff. To come...

  • Looks good, what are you doing for water? Bladder in the top section with a hose out the front or something?

  • Exactly a bladder. Far better use of space than bottles.

The way I saw it was bladder in the bottom but I don't think that'll work. I think it'll be bladder vertical at the seat tube and then front for storage. Or potentially bladder on the top and stuff in the bottom. It'll be a see what works best, from a storage and access to stuff point, then modify bag for that.

  • So my son 28 to hed beligum turned up from justridingalong.com, great service. Great wheel. Attached it to a supernova e3 tripple 2, which seems to do the job. Also got some zipp tri bars, which seem comfy but time will tell.

Bikes starting to get close to dream bike. Still a few more things to get and do.

    Still to get is;
    Tri bar di2 shifters
Saddle bag - looking at apidura but don't like the branding or just carbon copy of revelate
Rear wheel - hed belgium and hope pro 2 evo
    Sinewave revolution (on it's way)
Bladder - the camelbak isn't working as hoped due to the massive rigid plastic opening.
Powermeter - P2M. Got to have power right!?

Planning on heading off into europe in April-May-June to train, which will be sweet. Another month of full time sales first.

I'm terrible at photos. Maybe I'll get some today.

Cant say the frame bag is any hassle in crosswinds. Almost feels like a help sometimes.

Also to add. The Focus Cayo frame is brilliant. Rides just as the geo says it should.

  • I hope you'll be getting better mudghuards?

  • Nah when it's stops being cold and raining I'll have none. They're just for winter miles to keep cold rain off. They work well. And I don't want to spend £100 on getting brazeons put on the frame right now.

  • Dibs on everything but frame, saddle and bars when you decide to sell ;-)

  • What mudguards are those? The fittings look like raceblades, but the rear wheel has full coverage?

  • Yeah race blade but I cut and glued a spare to make it full length then attached it with a zip tie. Works good.

  • Very clever, you should get the Brompton mudflap, cut it a bit and drill a hole on the existing rubber flat of the front blade.

They're light and robust to work as a decent flap for keeping your feet dry.

  • What's up with the bar angle, with the ends pointing a bit up? (sorry for #internetfitting)

  • Bladder - the camelbak isn't working as hoped due to the massive rigid plastic opening.

Platypus have a regular bottle-type opening. That might work better..

  • Ordered one to try.

Fitted tri-bars this weekend. Bike is so anti porn it needs a new category!
However it's a lot more aero and comfortable.

  • Sinewave works great. No battery on garmin and charged up in a ~1h30 riding.

  • So frankenbike. Fucking cool though.

  • Nice!! Bar angle needs some work skinny, just tilt em up a bit please. /OCD

  • Skinny. Thinking of getting a Cayo, but haven't ridden one yet. Before I book a test ride, do you think there's anything around 1k that will ride anywhere near as well? The Cayo 7.0 is 973 odd quid for me. So from what you've said about the frame, it seems like a good deal.

  • That bike is just wonderful.

  • Race geometry or Endurance geometry?

Latter have lots of choice (GT Grade for example).

  • The geo fits me well.
The angles are how I like a bike to feel.
The frame is agile and supple.
    It rides brilliant.
