I thought you'd be all over that. You're not exactly scared of testing some weird and wonderful solutions :)

I've thought about using a mirror or similar on the bars so I could get my head down. Not sure it's even legal though?

Google View Speed glasses, some guy in America obviously thinks they're a good idea!! Head down riding in CTT events is illegal, so I think it would be immaterial if you had a mirror or not.

If I really stick my head down and get it as low as possible (without the helmet tail sticking up) it's less aero for me anyway

Really? Head down without tail is less aero? That doesn't make sense to me. Stupid air.
