ah shiz I thought they were priced at same level .. yeah T2 but then you need to get a fork yea?
-
• #778
T2 if you already have forks.
Edit: Owning a T2 in the largest size with dc07 fork, thoughts of that shit noodley, flexy front end have never crossed my mind. Other than that not sure what the extra money gets you.

Not as much clearance. I prefer the look of the Kinesis too. They also appear to be out of my size until March.

yeah fair .. T2 then .. which forks? Hylix off ebay made in far east seem like a good budget shout

Hippy said he still has his forks.

Geo is the same, just the weight is a bit down on the 4S versus the T2

I already have a collection of Grupetto kit, thanks.

Does your existing fork have space for 28+'guards? (and do you care u guess?)

There's now/soon a disc version of the 4S. Shit just got interesting...

I don't run front guard. Toe overlap is already excessive.

I'm fast enough up hills but suggestion noted.

Oh yeah, you run your cleats mid-sole. Probably no reason to go for the T2 out of the two then. Other than a cool paint job.
New ones in that link do look very cool.

The paint on the new T2 is a bit better (not white around the BB). The 4S is growing on me - bit lighter and comes with a fork. With discs, it could be a nice winter trainer that saves wearing out rims.

Di2 and discs is best winter bike.
Not had to fiddle with mine in the 2000+ miles I've done since dec.
only thing I do is clean chain.Worth the cost.

9070 levers to Spyre's today-interesting to compare to full hydro.
Conclusion= full hydro, by a surprising margin.

That crank looks suspiciously un ultegra like!
-
• #798
Same here with rim brakes and mechanical SRAM though. Just occasionally wipe the rims and pads too.

I had a similar experience with my fixed gear ;)

Yeah I agree but I have all the parts already - I'd rather not pay for an entire new bike. Plus the 4S Disc isn't available until summer so it's too late by then anyway. I'm going to get a 4S and put all my old components on (save for the fork which the 4S comes with).
It's my winter bike/commuter. Newer != better and faster is irrelevant. It's more expensive but for what? My T2 fork still works.
