  • Good to see you yesterday. Sorry to hear about the wipeout. Wondered where you'd got to after seeing some of the others from the Hythe cafe roll into the Select garage.

If you fancy a training ride sometime then I go down into Kent and use some routes from bigfoot.cc which I've edited a little. Need to start riding my geared bike again as my fixed is going back to Italy for a while for frame mods and a new paint job.

  • Definitely up for training rides, let me know when you are going and if I can I will join. Likewise I usually go out to Surrey most weekends and know some decent routes if you want to mix it up a bit.

  • Cool. I'm now on the countdown for LOL and will be riding with a friend who hasn't been riding much lately. Hoping to get in 4 x 100km+ rides in from now till then. He probably won't do any training unless I go with him so two of those will be up to Much Hadham and back. A little bit through town then Epping Forest followed by country lanes. About 65km each way. Pretty flat. That'll be 25/2 and 4/3 both Wednesdays. The only other training day I'll have available will be 1/3 (Sunday) so we could do one then. I was thinking of doing a fairly hilly Kent one I rode a few weeks ago which I think was about 107km but don't mind really if you know some good routes.

There's also 60km route I do non-stop as it means that I can work on pacing myself i.e. not pushing hard enough so that a stop is required and maintaining a good riding position. It also means that it's not a full day so I can do it while fasting or if I have work the same day so there's enough time to get home and crack on.
