  • I'm still waiting on the disc version, June ETA!!

  • This arrives in Europe in March apparently.

A beefy toptube suggests they've not just tacked on disc tabs (yay). Internal routing too (boo).

    It doesn't weigh much.

  • All those front-wheel spokes though...

  • I can't described how pleased I am with my system six. It's the best bike I've ridden. Ever.

  • seriously caad10 is awesome, I love mine.

  • Glad it's finally up and running

  • I've reluctantly left the Cannondale Club. Who do I hand my badge and gun to?

  • What you guys recommend for upgrading my caad8 on the cheap? So far I'm thinking lighter stem/seat post, any other recommendations?

  • Depends on what you want achieve. If it's weight weenieism then there are better ways of shaving grams.

If it's just what can I spend money on to make it a better bike then for medium money a better fitting saddle and bars could be a nice place to start, assuming the saddle and bars that came with the bike are still on it, and they aren't a perfect fit.

Latex tubes and nicer tyres are always a good start, too.

  • There's no equivilent of the Propel in 'dales range. If you want an 'aero' bike then yah, obvs. If I was in the saddle all day I'd pick a goofy green Evo over a nicely oranged Propel any day. Or a TCR for that matter.

If I just had to stare at it, then yeah, I'd consider a Propel :)

Bike24 seemed to get them before the UK distro can, CSG still showing June for the CAAD10 Rival Disc.

  • Right you are with the saddle, I really wanna try the selle smp but the price is off putting!

  • Jagwire sealed cable housing kit would be my recommendation.

I agree, brought the chinese copy which is remarkably identical to the actual one, good way of finding out if it's worth spending money on the actual SMP.

  • The wife has one - it's amaze. Probably worth it to be fair.

  • Probably worth it to be fair.

It is, saddle is one of the components that it's worth spending money on.

Problem is, it's ugly, and men seemed to want to buy saddle base on the look.

  • Thing is I'm not skinny so I fear it would be wasted money, I'm tempted to though. I usually find a rolls to be comfortable, but want to try them out.

watching the extra on eBay, but the carbon ones are cheaper haha.

I also don't mind how it looks

    @Howard I'm tempted.

The fake carbon one is about £30 if you look around, you can sell it on if you decided it's worth getting the expensive one.

The SMP Extra is the cheapest official saddle, it's extremely padded and may not be as comfortable as the non-padded version.

  • You've convinced me. I think i'm going to go for it. Mind if PM you a few links to see which you'd go for?

  • Perfect, thanks!

  • @bengreen - I have one of those in white (red decals) you can have for £30 posted if interested? Used once.

  • Got all back caad mate, thanks for the offer though mate but i'd rather pay the extra and get one that won't stick out!
