Apart from crashing on the ice and riding with a bruised hip it was a gorgeous day with some scenic vistas to enjoy. Good to see such a big turnout and such a breath of experience, both veterans and complete noobs. Definitely fixed friendly and no hills to speak of. There was one guy on a recumbent and one on an elliptigo (I recognised him as I had built up his rear wheel).
Two down and ten to go for the RRtY. Next audax for me will be LOL unless I manage a DIY before then. Otherwise training. Feel surprisingly fresh today so think my tapering strategy is working and am on course for my first 300 in April.
