  • I thought I would setup a team, just for fun like. If you want to join then have a look for "London fixed gear and single speeders", you'll need the pin: 5p6lJb4D .

  • Team? Is this on the Eroica site?

I said that I would do the 100 this year but due to the fact that I have unexpectedly become an exhibitor at the event I'm 'only' doing the 50 - can't leave Mrs TJP manning the stall for the whole day unfortunately.

Would love to ride the route with some of you guys this time as opposed to just seeing you at the end...

  • Does anyone know where I could get a bespoke wool cycling jersey made?

  • theres a company in portland USA that do them .......need to use the google thing to find em , but i saw

  • Yeah, after you're signed in, click your name top left and it suggests joining a team or creating a team...

Obviously people are free to ride in whatever group they like and join in for parts or otherwise.

  • These guys look a bit too good to be true: http://www.oregoncyclewear.com/woolcyclingjerseys.html .

I am sorely tempted by a LFGSS retro special...

  • pricing and ordering information is listed on our site

    .. which isn't bad,

    100% Australian Merino Wool
    $79.50 Short Sleeve
    $74.50 Long

or, for more than a quantity of 18,
    Sleeve Wholesale 18+ $58.00
    Short Sleeve Wholesale 18+ $53.00

(as long as the delivery / import-duty is small)

  • duty was about £20 on a £75 shirt last time I bought American. I reckon £110 on the road with custom embroidery

  • design it! I might be tempted too!

  • Looks like what we used to slide sideways down the driveway back home. I want one (right after I get a bigger house to put it in).

  • These are nice looking, maybe could approach to find out about customer embroidery
    https://www.etsy.com/shop/SpitfireCC?ref=l2-shopheader-name

    Only one design though.

  • .. maybe enquire as to custom design too??!

    some re-jig of this one?

  • it's gotta feature the text in full somewhere,

London fixed gear and single speeders

    (!)

  • Totally would if under £70.00.
Needs front pockets for extra vintage factor.

  • Joined the team.

  • speak to alex at woolistic, an american in switzerland. He has all sorts of wicked old machinery and does loads of merino team kits

    http://www.woolistic.com

  • I'm looking for something in yellow with black short sleeves. I can get embroidery done locally easily enough. Found a great site in Australia:

    http://www.eleven.cc/shop/merino-cycling-jersey/

They do the right material, right design, right price, but no option of yellow :(

May have to go with orange instead, unless anyone knows of an alternative supplier?

  • Well the good people at eleven Velo have agreed to buy in some yellow Merino fabric, just for me, bless them. Jersey is on order. I'll report back on quality, etc. when it arrives.

  • Nu?

  • Pulled my finger out and booked me and my nipper little Aitch in. Was one of the highlights of 2014 for me. Looking forward to it. Will either be on the Jim Guard I did up last year, or maybe take the Hobbs ... Last year I was most impressed with the guy doing the ride in Army battledress and a BSA folding 'para-bike'!

  • Msr Oliver, Yes I'm back in the Yew Kay. Work turned sour in Aussie so I'm in Manchester these days with a wife and two little kiddies.

  • Riding this route in a couple of weeks time, looking forward to it. Though it may be a little quieter and colder...
