I've bought a few over the years. In my experience they're all the same, quite a few are shoddily made, I've had to return a couple for either not fitting properly or losing power suddenly. Buying from the slighty more reputable looking brands/sellers makes no difference. But if they work then they work fine, and none of them have caused my macbook any damage.

How do I leave positive rep for a trader? I don't know how to use this forum now (and I miss the animated millenium eyerrospoke)

Anyone have any suggestions for a spray on headset lube. I want a smash a quick squirt at it to shut it up and I don't want to perform a full strip down and repacking. Spray grease seems to be difficult to find in the City. It should be good for one ride, right?

Post in the 'Good Traders' thread, or indeed in the relevant sales thread if it's still open.
The eyerrospok went out in 2008 with the switch to vBulletin, didn't it?

Aluminium/lightweight 3/32 track sprockets, do they exist anywhere other than VeloSolo, who are out of stock of 19t and are a tacky gold colour.
Had a look at trials options, but they only tend to go up to 15t.

^ SJS cycles, still gold but cheaper and in stock all the way to 22t.

I've got a 21t aluminium 3/32 cog so I'll check to see who made it and get back to you tomorrow.

I've been able to get NOS originals from Amazon. For that era they're all crap though - used to replace mine every year.

Aluminium/lightweight 3/32 track sprockets
More trouble than they are worth, stick to steel.

Would using a spare stem as a spacer stack(under the stem in use) have any crazy dangerous things I have missed? I figure it just looks ugly till I can cut the fork tomorrow. Will be riding 6 miles to work possibly cutting it in a break or 12 miles if I can't and need to do it after.
OT question: I need a new battery for my macbook (13", circa 2008). There are many generic ones on eBay - does anyone have any experience of which stand a chance of lasting/ working properly? Any good or bad experiences? I'd get a genuine Apple one but they've stopped selling them.
