Smalldean is beyond me on fixed - in days gone by, I might have had a proper bash at it (I've come close to getting up it in the past), but older and wiser (not wise enough to bring gears mind!), I know that the effort required to get even a 67" gear up there would put me so far into the red that I'd be feeling it for the rest of the ride.
It's also the location of Steve Abraham snapping his handlebars trying to haul himself up it on his usual 80-90 inch gear (one of a few locations of him snapping handlebars I believe!).

You're a whippet. Throw caution to the wind and smash up it one day. Sure, your legs will be caned for a few minutes afterwards but you'll probably be surprised when you can continue to put the power down after that initial shock.
The front end of my bike is squeaking like a bastard at the moment. I'm hoping it's just headset bearings full of their usual British road sludge but if I don't make it back from the Wye Wed you can remind me about strange noises being a reason to inspect and service a bike..
Two washes in two days for the Kinesis is so unheard of I actually took today off because I don't want it to get dirty again when it pisses down tonight!
I've never had to walk Smalldean but I've not yet ridden it fixed or on the TT bike so there's still time :)
